Limerick : Ambitous

There once lived a man in the countryside,
Who had  really wanted to become a knight,
He practiced fighting in the morning,
Until very  late in the evening,
Sheepishly, he wanted the title without a fight.

Haiku : Silence

the sea so silent
where have all the glories gone?
the wave-breakers smile

the bees stop buzzing
the last tree kisses the ground
home, sweet home is gone

Haiku : The Path Of Memory

a long, lonely path
unchanged in many seasons
dreams were made here, once

My First Limerick

There was a girl who loved  buns
Devouring them and her life was fun
Her mom served cake instead
Which drove the girl very mad
She would rather go out and soak up the sun.

** This is my first attempt on limerick. It gives me the thrill in writing this one though it isn't up to the standard  of limericks I have read before.  I love the humour I find in them. I am also inspired  by my two good friends, Od and Omo, who have good hands in limericks. Please, check out their posts Limerick for Elf at Od's blog, and Limerick : Boss at Omo's.

Have fun and have a great Sunday! :)

Today's Lesson

I'm  i n s p i r e d!

These are what I would say :

  • Where there is a will, there is a way.
  • Determination is the path to success.
  • Be creative and make life beautiful.
  • NO is the last word after all efforts fail.
  • Little in size, great in mind.
  • Don't belittle me.
  • Think out of the box.
  • Never succumb to 'Give Up.'
  • Never say never.
  • Step over my dead body!

May all of you have a beautiful and inspiring day!

Life's A Beauty

roses in full bloom
while the clock's hibernating
not a moment lost

blue, yellow roses
the scent, undeniable
delighting my heart

East And West

you said
your nose bled
you couldn't stand the cold
for the first time,  your teeth were clattering
you felt the pang of missing home in the warmth of golden rays
your mind flew thousand miles while you were clad in thick clothing even  though
the heater was on day and night
six years was like yesterday, now you've got used to the new environment
surprisingly when you came back home, you complained
stepping out of the plane
you couldn't stand
the warmth

this today
thinking of you
outside it is still drizzling
it looks like snow, cold  kisses my skin
imagination flies far,  if I were there, I'd feel I'm in a fridge
my teeth won't just clatter, they might get frozen, mom would get the fright of her life
seeing the new me
I'm smiling now thinking of the uniqueness of life at two different places
evening here but you're about to enjoy breakfast
wishing you a nice day
my dear sister
I really

This photo was taken by my sister, outside her house in Manchester, England.

Let Not The Moment Pass

light of hope cascades
heaven opens all its doors
tarry not the time

tarry not the time
enchantment of the moment
fulfilling the soul
