I Missed November

In drizzles and shine, November had gone. I missed that month because I didn't write anything for this blog for one whole month.

December is still here with sunny smiles but more to grey sky and windy days. This is my last post for 2014. In a few hours time, we will welcome 2015.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

My Thoughts And Prayers

It has been awhile since my last post. I do miss this little space in my life; just a space in blogsphere where I share some little thoughts or some simple write-ups, anything in general which comes to mind at any point in time. This space is my little treasure for it unites me with bloggers' friends across the globe.

It is towards the end of July and what a shame for me, for I had not been able to update this blog for a month until now! If it could be lack of creativity, well, I am afraid it might be so. I tried to write but ideas did not come easy. My mind was not focussed really on other things but work. No, it is not a complaint, that's my bread and butter.

It is past midnight. I cannot sleep yet, so here I am now! Earlier, I took tea ( a few mugs) and this is the price I have to pay for. I am intolerant of caffeine. It will keep me awake till dawn! Luckily, it is weekend. I can have a few hours of beauty sleep during day time.

At the time I write this, I am thinking of the doomed flight MH17. My heart goes out to families and friends of the devastated jet. It is so heartbreaking and shocking upon knowing what had happened. What a tragic year for my country, we lost another plane just about four months since the mysterious loss of  MH370. How heartbreaking it is to see images from the crash site. I have been following news of the tragedy from our local tv news and international.

To families and friends of those on flight MH17, my heartfelt condolence, please stay strong, my thoughts and prayers are for everyone. You are not alone in this time of sadness. The whole world is mourning with you.

Many times I counted the sparkles in your eyes,
That sent countless sparks to my heart,
That thrilling moment, I captured in my dream.

Limerick

There was a lady so beauty conscious,
Every minute she wanted to be gorgeous;
One day, much to her dismay,
She saw a strand of grey,
Popping out of her beautiful tresses.

Thought

Image

I look at the sky,
I see the sun smiling.
My mind flies to you
in a distant land.
If the sky could mirror
what our days are like.
It would indeed be a pleasure
knowing what our chores are.
It has been awhile
but I haven’t disappeared,
not even dispersed among
the vapours that form the clouds,
not even gone among the wind
that blow towards the mountain.
This place I miss much,
a place that connects you and I,
and I am still here
waiting…

That Was The Day

Image

Saw them glittering like gold
as they gently fell
Heard the sweet sound of each one
just like jingling bells
Beautiful melody rang in the air
filled with sweetness and full of flair
Courageous they were for the final destiny
The day to leave but full of glory

I looked for that gold
Which I wanted to hold
But t’was a story told
On the last day of Fall

Welcome To Malaysia

A great day yesterday when US President Barack Obama arrived in Malaysia for a three-day visit.  The last visit by US President, Lyndon B. Johnson was in 1966.

Thank you, Mr President, for visiting my country.

Thankfulness

I woke up to the sounds of cascading tears of the sky. The soil had been craving for life when the weather was on high fire. The sky must have heard the grievance. Blessed Sunday today; prayers were answered, little buds began sprouting, and wilting grass could stand upright. The dehydrated soil had drunk up much of what it needed most. Energy could be felt everywhere, another cycle of life began.

Life is beautiful!

I Never Was Alone

Image

For a moment, I thought I was alone.  That was the feeling I dreaded most when all of a sudden, I felt silence around me would close up on me soon and put me in total darkness. Everything seemed to be wrapped up in quietness and stillness. How wrong I was, letting my mind drifted into negative zone.

As I turned around, I heaved a sigh of relief.  Above me was a canopy of blue that could put anyone's heart at peace. Right there was a majestic staircase from heaven in its awesome design, so eye-catching.

I had hoped to take a glimpse of the supposed Prince walking down that  staircase  to meet his beautiful princess on earth . Perhaps he did,  at the other end of it. How sweet it was!

Soft breeze passed by and whispered sweet words among the lush of green. I was not alone after all. It was just that I did not realize how much nature could offer me its beauty and how it could make me feel   accompanied by it.  What added more beauty to it, was the breeze that whistled across the valley and gently touched everything in its path.

What an awe-inspiring beauty which made my day to discard the solitary feeling out of me. I would continue to admire the tranquillity till the staircase from heaven was replaced by glittering diamonds and smiling moon right above me and the canopy of blue changed into a backdrop of black. Endless beauty!

A Cry That Cost A Lot

A glaring day.

Tiny pearls of sweat kept dripping at every second when temperature rose towards its peak. It was so uncontrollable. All of a sudden, an eagle's cries could be heard across the hills. The remaining leaves moved by it, shook nervously as it passed by them, helpless were they in an unanswered question of the fate that fell onto them which they could not defy, not the least a bit, not at all.

The eagle cried again, followed by a devastating shriek that could break a hill into halves, when each sound of a giant machine brought down the trees to kiss the warm ground. This time loosening it up and like a flash bringing down all that were in its path.  As the last one standing, before facing its unprecedented fate, the eagle's voice was lost in the wind that brought it to an unknown destination...

Who would listen to it now?

Useless

beautiful morning
a dog barking at the hill
will it be perturbed?

huffing and puffing
after barking at the hill
to move it elsewhere

A little note :

'A dog barking at the hill' is a Malay saying which literally means doing something useless.
